Abstract
this article examines the use of portfolios as an alternative type of assessment, focusing on their benefits, challenges, and practical implementation. It highlights the advantages of portfolios in promoting active learning, reflection, and long-term assessment, as well as the challenges regarding fairness and time constraints. The findings indicate that portfolios are a valuable tool for providing a comprehensive evaluation of student learning, though careful consideration must be given to their implementation.
